Aministrative Assistant
Summary:
The administrative assistant provides general office support to the Clinicient staff and specific support as required to the Billing Services Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Answer telephones, screen callers, relay messages and greet visitors.
• Inventory, order and stock office supplies.
• Process all incoming and outgoing mail.
• Support billing services by printing, copying and collating chart notes, EOBs, and other information necessary to support claims with primary and secondary payers. Maintain files for client deposits.
• Schedule meetings and arrange travel.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Ad hoc projects, as requested.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High school education required. Associate degree desirable.
• 2 years previous experience in an office environment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of basic office tools and software.
• Professional demeanor.
• High-energy, self-starter with desire to grow within organization.
• Flexible. Ability to work with changing priorities.
SCOPE AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Administrative Assistant will interface primarily with internal staff and their decisions and impacts will have little, if any, impact on customer satisfaction. The individual in this position will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform work. Work is generally performed under immediate supervision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is performed primarily in an office environment. Significant portions of the job require extended sedentary periods, constant work with computers (including extended period of keyboarding), and repetitive motion of hands and wrists.
