ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with stakeholders and product team to define risk based test plans around specific workflows, features, and capabilities
  • Write and maintain a combination of manual and automated tests; executing tests to identify defects in a given change set
  • Articulate detailed defect reports to ensure developer reproduction and timely resolution
  • Work on a scrum team to meet sprint commitments
  • Contribute to Quality Assurance projects to improve test coverage in a variety of areas including performance, security, and data quality

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile-scrum development processes
  • Basic technical understanding of web-based applications, web services (traditional, RESTful), scripting languages, HTML, CSS, C#, .Net, JavaScript, SQL
  • Familiarity with US Healthcare industry desired
  • 2-3 years’ experience diagnosing, reporting, tracking, and resolving software quality issues
  • Experience developing and executing manual and automated test suites
  • Working knowledge of defect ticketing systems, and build environments.

SCOPE AND ACCOUNTABILITY

The position will interface primarily with internal staff and will have a moderate to high level of impact on customer satisfaction based on customers’ experience with Clinicient’s product, the release process, and the presence and severity of software bugs not detected through the QA process. The nature of the position entails frequent new and varied work situations with a high degree of complexity.  There are established and well-known procedures, although the individual is expected to operate with little direct supervision.

Work Environment

This position is performed primarily in an office environment. Significant portions of the job require extended sedentary periods, constant work with computers (including extended period of keyboarding), and repetitive motion of hands and wrists. Some limited travel to client locations may be required.
