Marketing Specialist

Role Summary

Are you a creative marketer with organization in your DNA? Are you a team player who loves details and is ready to roll up your sleeves and dig into coordinating multiple marketing projects and events in a fast-paced healthcare environment?

The Marketing Specialist coordinates event logistics and provides support handling the details surrounding marketing program execution. They must love getting into the minutiae and are adept at multi-tasking and prioritizing projects to ensure marketing deliverables are completed to meet deadlines, budgets, branding and quality standards. They must also be a good communicator and writer who thrives when interacting with multiple departments, personality types and vendors.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manages trade show and event planning; oversees logistics, staffing, budgets, booth assets and promotional programs for regional and national industry tradeshows, client seminars, webinars and other events.
  • Works with marketing communications, content marketing and demand generation to maintain production schedules for advertising, collateral, customer communications, demand generation, events, social media, website updates and other marketing content.
  • Assists with marketing calendar management for upcoming blogs, social media, industry articles, demand generation content, webinars and tradeshows/events.
  • Coordinates with internal and external subject matter experts on thought leadership programs, educational events and webinars.
  • Creates campaigns in Marketo for events, webinars and other demand generation programs.
  • Provides reporting, tracking and analysis of event marketing programs to determine ROI, drive improvement and increase qualified trade show leads.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides writing support for events including writing internal and external communications, email invitations, promotional copy and more.
  • Supports regional marketing, customer communications, social media, blog and other ad hoc content marketing projects.
  • Collaborates with marketing team on idea generation for marketing campaigns and tradeshow themes.
  • Ensures creative marketing materials undergo review and adhere to quality and brand guidelines.
  • Helps maintain marketing content library and promotional items; helps keep inventory and disseminates marketing assets/promotional items via a variety of channels.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or English.
  • 2+ years’ experience in marketing, project management or marketing communications with an emphasis in project management and event management
  • Experience with Marketo/ marketing automation and Salesforce
  • Experience managing tradeshow and departmental budgets
  • Working knowledge of creative workflow processes
